The first place I touched down in Asia when I set out to spend 4 months living and working in the region. A place that buzzes with the expected energy of a major Chinese city. Lit with the bright lights of culture, rooted deep in history that touches cultures beyond just Chinese. It’s here that I opened one of the biggest hotels in my career and learned a lifetime of lessons. I continue to be struck by the vibrancy of this city, the cultural depth and diversity. While being in Shanghai you are no doubt in China, you are also at the center of one the most important cities in the world.
